Our Mission

Vettes on the River exists to honor those who served. By bringing together Corvette clubs and enthusiasts along the banks of the Mississippi, we turn a shared love of the open road and America’s sports car into meaningful support for local Quad Cities veterans.

Our Story

What started as a friendly meet-and-greet between two Corvette clubs in 2010 has grown into one of the Midwest’s most beloved all-Corvette car shows. Every August, Corvette owners from across the country gather along the mighty Mississippi River in LeClaire, Iowa. They come not just to show off their pride and joy, but to give back. Since 2014, every dollar raised at Vettes on the River has gone directly to local Quad Cities veterans organizations. It’s a little bit horsepower, a whole lot of heart.

Event Overview

Vettes on the River is a free, family-friendly, all-Corvette car show held each August along the LeClaire, Iowa levee. Every dollar raised goes directly to local Quad Cities veterans organizations.

Everyone is welcome. Admission for spectators is completely free. Corvette owners who want to register their car for the show can do so online at [registration link] and are encouraged to register early.

Registered Corvette Parking & Event Arrival

To help your arrival go smoothly, please review the important information below before heading to LeClaire. With hundreds of Corvettes arriving throughout the morning, a little preparation goes a long way. Find downloadable/printable instructions here (PDF).

Before you Arrive

Please bring the following with you:

Your event registration receipt (printed)
Your parking placard (dash voucher, printed)
Any confirmation emails related to apparel or special purchases (on phone is fine)

Your registration receipt serves as your entry ticket to the event. This is separate from your dash placard, which should be clearly displayed on your dashboard after parking.

If you did not receive your placard in advance, blank placards will be available at the registration tent upon arrival.

Arrival & Check-In

Please do NOT line up before 7:30 AM.

Upon entering LeClaire, follow all posted signs and directions from event volunteers and law enforcement. Our volunteers need time to safely prepare the levee and surrounding parking areas before vehicles begin arriving. Early lineups can create unnecessary congestion on Highway 67 and throughout downtown LeClaire.

If traffic becomes heavy, local law enforcement may direct vehicles to temporary staging areas until parking is available.

If you are arriving with a Corvette club or group, please stay together in a single line and have your lead driver inform volunteers how many vehicles are in your group.

Parking Instructions

Upon arrival:

Follow all posted signs
Listen carefully to event volunteers and law enforcement
Proceed directly to your assigned parking location

Fore everyone’s safety, please remain in your vehicle until you have been fully parked. Please be patient, our volunteers work hard to park everyone quickly, safely, and efficiently.

Once Parked:

Display your parking placard clearly on your dashboard
Secure your vehicle
Head to the registration tent

Registration Tent

After parking, all participants should visit the registration tent to:

Check in
Pick up your goody bag & event wristband
Collect pre-ordered apparel or merchandise
Receive any event updates or important information

Be sure to verify any apparel orders before leaving the tent. If you need a replacement placard, our team will be happy to assist you there.

Your Event Wristband

Each Corvette entry includes event wristbands for the driver. Your wristband provides access to:

Shuttle transportation
Participant-only activities
Event amenities throughout the day

Please wear your wristband at all times throughout the event.

Departure

At the conclusion of the event, local law enforcement will assist with traffic flow to help participants exit safely and efficiently. Please follow their directions and use patience as traffic clears.

Activities & Entertainment

Explore LeClaire

Shuttle Services

Complimentary shuttle service will operate from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The air-conditioned shuttle makes it easy to explore LeClaire, visit local shops and restaurants, view Corvettes throughout town, and Travel between designated event area. Hop on and off at marked shuttle stops throughout the route.

Veterans Color Guard Ceremony

Join us at 11:00 AM on the Levee for our moving Veterans Color Guard Ceremony honoring all who have served. This patriotic tradition has become one of the highlights of the event.

Food & Refreshments

A variety of food options will be available on the levee, including local favorites and visiting vendors. LeClaire also offers numerous restaurants, cafes, and pubs within walking distance of the event.

Riverboat Twilight Cruises

Experience the Mississippi River aboard the iconic Riverboat Twilight. 90 minute cruises are often available during the event, offering scenic river views, local river history, and unique views of Vettes on the River from the water. The dock is conveniently located adjacent to the levee.

FAQ

Is the event free to attend?

Yes! Spectators are welcome to attend at no cost. Come enjoy the cars, the community, and the riverfront atmosphere.

It is a minimum donation of $25 to register a car for the show.

What time should I arrive?

For Participants: No earlier than 7:30 AM. No later than 10:30 AM.
For Spectators: Any time throughout the event.

Who can register a vehicle?

This event is exclusively for Corvettes of all years and models. If you own a Corvette, you’re welcome to register and participate in the show. At this time, non-Corvette vehicles are not eligible for registration, as the event is dedicated specifically to celebrating the Corvette (and veteran) community.

If you plan to showcase your Corvette in the event, registration is required in advance. This helps us organize parking, judging, and event flow.

Is there a deadline to register?

What does the registration fee support?

Registration fees help cover event costs and support our mission. As a not-for-profit event, all proceeds generated by Vettes on the River are donated to local Quad Cities’ Veterans’ Organizations.

Can I bring spectators or guests?

Absolutely! Friends, family, and the public are all welcome to attend and enjoy the event.
